Meet Us: Amanda Villarreal


     Things wouldn't go so smoothly here at Artisan Foodworks if we didn't have great team members, like Amanda. She has her culinary hands in everything from working with Chef Alexa on catering creations featured at events to creating the artisan marshmallows we mail all over the world from 240sweet

     Amanda attended culinary school in Michigan at Secchia Institute of Culinary Education and interned at a 5 star/ 4 diamond restaurant, prior to coming to work with us in Columbus. She has 17 years of culinary experience and we're glad she's growing even more here. Amanda loves to travel, spend time with her husband, Israel, and her Weimaraner, Bella. She's a huge sports fan, giant foodie and working on a cookbook that we can't wait to see out on shelves one day. Regional Cuisine is something she loves to learn and study, plus she loves collecting recipes from different regions, from friends, and from family. 


     
     Churro is Amanda's favorite 240sweet marshmallow puff flavor, and the pulled pork and grilled salmon are her favorite dishes so far from Artisan Foodworks. Upon contemplation, if she were to choose a superpower, it would to be able to teleport and fly.... or fly really fast, either way we love how she thinks.

Meet Us: Steven Hackney


This year, we are delighted to have Steven Hackney join our team at Artisan Foodworks. Sam's nephew has been learning the catering ropes from Chef Alexa and assisting her in the kitchen. He's probably helped make your food. At events, customers have raved about his service.

When he's not catering or making marshmallows, Steven can be found playing competitive darts and writing music. He is trained in classical guitar building and brings his artistic eye to presenting foods. He's really looking forward to going to distilling school to learn how to make vodka. 

Steven's favorite dish of Chef Alexa's is beef tenderloin with wild mushroom cream sauce. His favorite marshmallows are the spicy ones like Ghost Pepper.

We were honored to help Deb and Tammy celebrate their marriage last weekend.


After 20 years together, the couple was finally able to wed in Indiana. They had a beautiful, fun ceremony and reception at the Barn at Kennedy Farm.


One interesting (and very cool) thing Deb and Tammy did was to have their appetizers and cocktails before the ceremony. It created a relaxed atmosphere.
