Meet Us: Samantha Aulick

Meet Us: Samantha Aulick

Full Name: Samantha Aulick. Most people just call me Sam.

Where are you from(can be extensive if need be): Originally from Madison, Indiana. Lived in Baltimore for 13 years before returning home to Indiana. As a teenager, I spent a lot of time in Columbus at my brother's home. That's how I started working for Lemley's Catering when I was 16 (and how I first met my wife, Alexa)

Special Interest(s): Every morning before I get out of bed, I read at least 3 business success articles, and I try to think of how I can make the world a better place. That goes along with our 240sweet Artisan Foodworks mission statement of making people happy through gourmet food and drink. Trying new things and celebrating are important.

Hobbies (What do you like to do on your free time): Hobbies include reading and gardening. I really like to grow things you can eat like herbs, tomatoes, and peppers. This year, I have seeds from an award-winning watermelon that I picked up at the Indiana State Fair that I am going to plant. I can't wait to see what Chef Alexa makes with them! On my nightstand, I have the books Notorious RBG and Twilight Reimagined.

Any of information we should know about you:
  • In 2015, I was a recipient of the Hoosier Hospitality Award from the Lt Governor Ellspermann. The award is described as "Someone in your community who goes
out of their way to make visitors feel good about their visit to Indiana." Other awards include
  • 2014 Red Hot Entrepreneurs with wife Chef Alexa by Go! Magazine
  • 20 Under 40 in 2007 from Columbus Young Professionals
What do you do at 240sweet Artisan Foodworks:
As a co-owner (with my wife Chef Alexa), I supervise our sales and marketing team. I also am in charge of new business development.

What do you like best about your job?:

There are two great things about my job. 1. I get to help customers celebrate and have fun. 2. I enjoy working with a team of people who are always looking to grow and learn. Being a part of those two things in peoples' lives is important to making the world a better place.

Here are what others are saying about Sam:

"She is a great co-worker. If I am struggling with something relating to work or life, she is always there to listen and give great advice."

"Sam is always upbeat and cheery. She is always positive."

  2. Heat oil in saute pan, add garlic, jackfruit, chipotle peppers, and salt. Saute on medium heat for 5 minutes or until fragrant.
  3. Add BBQ sauce and water. Sautéed items to slow cooker. Cook on low for 6-8 hours, shred and enjoy! (You can’t really overcook it, give it a full 8 hours to really develop flavors)
